Our Latest Completed Ripple Project: A New Community Space for The Shoebox Enterprise

Over the past nine weeks our group of volunteers have transformed the community space at the fantastic Shoebox Enterprise giving it a refresh and a new space for activities.

The Shoebox Enterprise are an amazing social enterprise that create welcoming and convivial spaces for people within the community to connect with each other and meet new people. Our talented participants repainted the hub, added storage and built a new wooden seating area for activities and for everyone to enjoy.

Tom, CEO of the Shoebox said "It’s been a pleasure working with Rippleacts to host their group. Over the course of nine sessions, the project participants helped to refresh our much-loved community hub by incorporating Shoebox colours and creating new storage and seating areas, transforming the space. The new soft seating area has been a particular hit with our members, offering a comfortable place to enjoy a good conversation over a brew. Rippleacts kept us informed and involved throughout each stage of the project and were quick to resolve any minor issues. Thanks to everyone involved.'

These projects are an important part of our work that follows our eight week coaching programme. The projects give our participants the chance to apply their new found confidence and skills to a real life project that helps the local community. As one of our participants said: 'It was good to be able to give back to the community, it helped me meet like minded people and re ignited my passion for painting.'

A huge congratulations to the group and also thank you to Norwich Repair Cafe for their upholstery expertise and the National Lottery Community Fund for making these projects possible.
