Empowering long-term unemployed people in Norfolk to make a positive change
WHO WE ARE
Nudging small actions with big ripple effects
Rippleacts is a Norwich-based social enterprise supporting long-term unemployed people to (re-) discover their strengths and passion, and make a lasting change to their lives. Our clients also contribute their skills and talent to support local good causes, thereby creating a series of positive ripple effects.
WHAT WE DO
It's all about the "P"s
Based on years of research and experience, we believe in the combined power of three Ps to help change behaviour: Perception, Practice and Peer-Support. Our work aims to help people tackle fears and shift self-perceptions by taking control of their inner dialogue. We accompany and support our clients as they put new perceptions into practice, and facilitate peer-exchange and learning along the way.
HOW WE DO IT
A different approach
Our programme is centred around an evidence-based 8-week cognitive-behavioural group coaching course. Contents include value-identification, goal-setting, basic concepts of psychology and neuroscience, self-coaching, active listening, as well as contemplation and mindfulness practice, among many others. The course is complemented by:
-
in-depth 1:1 coaching
-
time-bound voluntary project work
-
accompanied work experience and
-
peer-mentoring.
Further support can be tailored depending on each individual's need.
